The 2025 BCE Sustainability Awards recognized teams that made exceptional contributions in five key categories: Climate Change, People & Community, Health & Safety, Customer Solutions, and Our Values.

🔹 Climate Change
Project: Sustainable Collection – Circular Safety Footwear – Allshoes Safety Footwear (Netherlands)
This initiative focuses on creating circular safety shoes by maximizing the use of recycled materials, reducing the product’s carbon footprint, and driving sustainable innovation in protective footwear.

🔹 People & Community
Project: “Bailamos” (Let’s Dance) – Bunzl Corporate (Spain)
The Bailamos initiative is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) program designed to integrate DEIB principles into Bunzl’s culture, values, and operations through a structured maturity model.

🔹 Health & Safety
Project: ISO 45001 Certification – Bunzl Holding France (France)
This project successfully achieved ISO 45001 certification for Bunzl France, implementing a structured approach that has significantly reduced the accident rate and enhanced workplace safety.

Project: Sustainability as a Tool to Gain & Retain Customers – Bunzl Distribution Spain (BDS Spain)
This project optimizes Bunzl’s own operations while collaborating with customers and partners to lead the transformation of distribution through sustainable solutions.

Christine Lhermitte : Leading Sustainability with Integrity and Determination
Since joining PLG Group in 2001, Christine Lhermitte, Executive Assistant from PLG France, has been a driving force in sustainability, continuously seeking better solutions for waste management. Recognizing the urgent need for improved plastic waste recovery, she launched the Revaloriz project in 2020, transforming recycling into a key differentiator for PLG.
Despite initial challenges, Christine’s reliability and humility allowed her to navigate obstacles, adapt, and strengthen Revaloriz to better meet customer needs. Her leadership not only advances circular solutions but also reinforces sustainability as a core business priority, proving that dedication and integrity can drive lasting environmental impact.
