All Bunzl companies are active members of the local communities where they operate and where our employees live and work. The Group makes donations to responsible, non-political and non-sectarian registered charities, mainly in the fields of environment, healthcare, disability and education. We also encourage our businesses and employees to volunteer within their local communities and or to raise funds for local charities of their own choice which, subject to certain conditions, will be matched by the relevant Bunzl company. Where appropriate, we will donate stock free of charge to help charitable organisations and to reduce the need to send obsolete stock to landfill.
In 2023, Hungary donated HUF 1M to CsodaCsoport an organisation supporting sick children and orphanages. Additionally, employees received a Christmas gift with the option to keep it or donate it to Hope for Children with Leukaemia Foundation; a total of HUF 1M was donated.
The Trees for All charity plants trees wherever needed in the world; we supported them throughout 2022 and 2023. Our goal was to collect trees by setting up local activities (for example, a tree for each new employee) and in two years now have a Bunzl forest of 1000 trees!
