Role Summary
As an AX developer you will be continuously improving the ERP system used by 17 companies across Bunzl Continental Europe (BCE) with a complex architecture and business landscape. You will be working on the solutioning, configuration and development of user stories defined based on OpCo demands.
You will be working in an agile manner with international stakeholders across all parts of the business, specifically in the logistics and finance area, as well as 3rd party vendors and integration partners to connect the ERP with other applications.
You will be part of the European Technology team located in the Netherlands and Hungary providing IT services for over 40 businesses, in over 10 countries of Bunzl Continental Europe
The key objective of the role is to act as an application specialist/developer of the Ax2009 application to meet the business requirements as defined.
Primary responsibilities
As an AX developer/Application specialist you will…
- Work closely with Business Analysts and other members of the team to understand the requests and potential issues
- Further develop the AX solution to support the business processes and future demands coming from the projects in flight or OpCo’s already using AX2009
- Translate business requests into AX2009 solutions (data model, business rules, etc)
- Develop integrations with applications that the OpCo’s wish to connect with the ERP
- Strive for harmonization of any solution to fit within the defined BUNZL processes
- Create and maintain documentation such as technical documentation, release notes
Required Experience/Skills
- Proven track record with X++ development at least for 5 years
- Experience with an API based architectural landscape
- Experience with ERP solution
- ERP database knowledge
- Experience with AX2009 is preferred
- Experience in mid-large scale projects, preferably in a multi-national environment working with external customers and interfaced solutions
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent command of English is a must both written and spoken
- Experience with an Agile way of working is preferred
