Role Summary
As a Business Analyst you will be implementing and continuously improving IT solutions across Bunzl Continental Europe (BCE) with a complex architecture and business landscape. You will be working on the blueprint solution design, harmonizing business processes and implementation of the IT solutions across BCE.
You will be working in an agile manner with international stakeholders across all parts of the business, specifically in the EDI, Webshop and OCR area, as well as 3rd party vendors and integration partners.
You will be part of the European technology team located in the Netherlands and Hungary providing IT services for over 40 businesses, in over 10 countries of Bunzl Continental Europe
The key objective of the role is to act as subject matter expert on product and business processes in the EDI, Webshop and OCR area.
Primary responsibilities
As a Business Analyst you will…
- Work closely as a bridge between business and Group IT stakeholders providing business analysis services within a project or operational context
- Work closely with the product team on the integration of AX2009 with other IT solutions, specifically EDI, Webshop and OCR solutions
- Work closely with Product Owner to define and refine the product backlog, outlining functional requirements together with the customer/business
- Act as a change agent to execute technology initiatives in the EDI area across BCE, holding an integral role in project teams
- Assist the Global EDI team to support projects and enhancements
- Collaborate with Product Owner and 3rd party vendors in translating business needs into functional solutions
- Implement OCR/Capture systems changes (test phase, go-live, end user training)
- Design, document and implement business process flows that fit within the technical solution and meet business requirements
- Strive for harmonization of business processes across BCE by implementing common standardized solutions
- Facilitate test activities, quality control and initial post-go-live support
- Conduct trainings to the key users as part of the ‘train the trainer process’
- Create and maintain documentation like process flows, training materials
- Work closely with the business stakeholders to set, follow up and improve KPI’s on the chosen solutions
- Collaborate with the businesses to continuously improve business processes
- Design and test changes within Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009
Join us if you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role and EDI experience with strong interest in ERP process flows
- Experience in mid-large scale projects, preferably in a multi-national environment working with external customers and 3rd party vendors
- Experience with ERP systems is a must (Microsoft Dynamics preferred), including an in-depth understanding of the relevant business processes involved
- Degree educated (BA or higher)
- Excellent command of English is a must both written and spoken
- In-depth understanding of Agile mindset and methods, understanding of industry standards and best practices
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Familiarity with EDI standards (XML and EDIFACT) and messages (order, order response, ASN, invoice)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX Application Integration Framework (AIF) is preferred
- Familiarity with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology is preferred
- Familiarity with Windows Server is preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is preferred
